Unmasking with the Values Based Integration Process

2 Weeks Until Spring VBIP Training

The next VBIP training is fast approaching! We’re 2 weeks away, so now is a great time to register if you have been thinking about it but haven’t done so yet. To add to last week’s post, here is some more info. about the training:

The VBIP training has been developed using modes of Universal Design for Learning. In many cases, most of those who participate in the training are neurodivergent themselves, and either already work with or want to work with neurodivergent clients, so we center teaching and learning strategies that actively benefit neurodivergent learners.

This means that participants are encouraged to look after their bodies throughout the training: to move, stim, turn their cameras off, take bio breaks as needed, and anything else that will help them best take in the material.

If you have any accessibility needs that you would like to discuss in advance, please don’t hesitate to email me so that we can make sure those needs are accommodated.

Again, here are the dates and times of the upcoming training:

3-Day Spring Training (6 hours/day including breaks)

  • March 9th, 9:00am – 3:00pm PDT / 12:00pm – 6:00pm EDT
  • March 10th, 9:00am – 3:00pm PDT / 12:00pm – 6:00pm EDT

About the program

In 2017 I was newly self-diagnosed with atypical autism, struggling with burnout, and striking out when it came to therapists who could address the issues I was facing. At the same time, I was building skills around life coaching, shame reduction, and trauma-informed therapy for work. Gradually I realized that what I needed – an embodied, autonomous, agency-driven coaching approach to unmasking – was not something I was going to find “out there”, but something I was going to need to create if I wanted to recover my life. This was the moment the Values Based Integration Process was born.

Having developed the program for myself – and having seen the incredible results it brought in my own life – I began to use it with coaching clients. The results were out of this world!

After conversations with Dr. Devon Price, the technique was featured in his book Unmasking Autism. With it, came interest in the technique and the decision was made to begin training coaches and therapists to help make this toolkit more readily available.
